Well, my sister and the kids were coming up for the weekend for Jack's birthday, I think, and wanted to go to fan day since they had never been. I didn't really encourage it. I believe I said it's not worth the hassle and it's overrated, but it's a wonderful event we just never go. I know so many people enjoy it and look forward to it each year. So, we got our Razorback gear on, which Jack and Macy weren't enthused about wearing this particular day, and packed up everything we needed and went. I was right!! Parking and walking was pretty far for a just turning 3 year old and 4 year old. They did enjoy the inflatables as always and that was all we did. When we started our walk back to the car, Macy asked me to carry her, so I put the 62 lb. girl on my hip and away we went...up hill! Well, a day later my back started hurting and 3 days later I could barely walk. So, I finally went to the doctor after thinking they would send me home saying it's just a pulled muscle, but I was wrong, thankfully!!! The doctor gave me a steroid shot, pain killers, muscle relaxers, and prescription anti-inflammatory. After 1-2 days, I was much better. In the meantime, while I could barely walk, literally, Jack decided to unlock the front door and run 2 blocks down our street on the sidewalk. OMG!!! So, there he goes and here comes Macy and I chasing him...kind of, yelling everything I can think of to make him stop, but it doesn't work. We are all 3 barefoot because we've been inside. I'm sure it was a joy for the neighborhood. The next morning as I was trying to get the kids ready for school the doorbell rings at 8 am. Who is here???? MY MOM!!! Praise the Lord and her!! It was the best thing I could have seen, she got up early and left her house at 6 am to get here in time. She helped me get the kids ready and take them to school and then took me to the doctor. "How were you going to drive and walk them in?" she asked. "I don't know I was just going to", was my reply. Thank goodness for my mom!
