Jack's 3rd Birthday

April 14th...Jack turned 3!!  My goodness your 3 years seem to go by so much quicker then Macy's first 3 years did.  We had a train themed birthday...Choo Choo!!  You really enjoyed your birthday-the hoopla all about you, the presents, the fun!  We love you so much Jack!!  You are the sweetest, cutest, smartest, most fun little boy that has such a temper and can be very difficult at times too!  We wouldn't have you any other way!!!  You are a Momma's Boy for sure and have been since day one!!  I love it!!!  You know all your letters, colors, shapes, and numbers to 10! You can count to 20.  You love to dance!  You play so well by yourself and always have!  You love to play with others too though, but you get tired after awhile and want sometime to yourself.  Unless, you're playing with Mommy, Daddy, or Macy.  You love your big sister, but you also fight with her more than anyone else.  You love chicken and french fries from McDonald's.  Your other favorites are...COKE, fruit snacks, cheetos, cookies, and dum dum suckers.  It sounds like you are very unhealthy, but you are more healthy than any of us.  You are good to only eat when you are hungry and not overeat. You love milk, bananas, grapes and raisins.  You don't have as sweet a tooth as your sister does.  You love TV!  I mean love it.  You would watch cartoons or movies all the time if we would let you.  You really listen though too, so you have learned a lot from educational shows.  You take it all in and are listening even when we don't think you are.  If the tv is on, but we're not really watching it and it's on regular tv, you'll tell me, "Mom I don't want to watch this.  I want cartoons."  Or if the tv has been off all day you'll say, "you know what time it is"? "time to turn the tv on and watch cartoons".  LOL  We have this thing we say from Bubble Guppies, "what time is it?" "it's time for lunch!"

You like to play outside, but get tired way before Macy does, especially if it's hot or cold.  You get hot and cold easily and don't like it and will just go inside when you're done.  You also have sensitive eyes to the sun, like me, and don't like the sun in your eyes or if it's really bright outside.  You are good to wear sunglasses. You've been riding your big bike with training wheels since you were 2! You love animals...all animals!!  You like to play with play doh, cars, blocks, trucks, dinosaurs, trains...anything boy!  You like to play games too, but you hate to lose and don't always want to follow the rules like going back to the peanut in candy land.  We're working on it and you're getting better.

You give wonderful hugs and kisses!  You are so soft spoken and always have been. Most of the time no one hears you but me. You have great manners and you're good to use them.  You love boys and get excited when you get to play with them, probably because you're always around girls with Macy and her friends and your cousins.

You've been taking gymnastics for a year and you love it!!  You can get in the car by yourself and buckle yourself up (this wasn't until 3 1/2).  You are such a big boy in many ways!!  I'll have to post your stats from your check up.  You are potty trained!!  You were easy once you were ready, which wasn't until 3.  You never sat down though.  You have always stood up to pee pee.  You never used the little potty we had from Macy.  She went on that for long time before she used the big potty.  You started sleeping in underwear at night quickly too.  (even before Macy)  She had bladder problems and wasn't waking up in the night to go and couldn't hold it, but can now!!  We are totally out of diapers as of September!!  I was only having to buy nighttime diapers for Macy, so it wasn't too bad, but now it's fantastic because it's zero after 5 straight years!!!

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but that's good for now.  Oh, you went through a joke phase. You have a couple of jokes you always tell and laugh and laugh and then you loved knock knock jokes.  You like to play Rock, Paper, Scissors and do high five, on the side, down low, too slow.  You are friendly and happy, but you need to mind and listen to me better. You love when the doorbell rings and you say "I'll get it Momma, I'll get it" and you run to the door and answer it.  Whenever I get you dressed you always ask, "where are we going?"  You ask a lot of questions and you get upset most of the time you don't get your way and don't understand.

You are now 3 1/2 and wearing a size 11 shoe and 5t in shirts and pants weighing 45 lbs.  Your hair grows so fast and is thick.  You say things that blow my mind all the time.  You adjusted so well and easily when Macy went to kindergarten.  It was nice for you and me to get to have some days of just us since we've never had that.  You are my favorite boy in the whole world!!!
