Night Night!

This is a post of an assortment of sleeping pictures.
When I'm tucking the kids in bed after baths, reading books and holding them, I always say, "I love you so much" and I'm so proud of you for _________ & thank you for listening today or ________ and/or you're my favorite boy/girl in the world!" Night Night.

We rock Jack in the rocking chair as he drinks his milk and we read books and then we put him in his bed awake and turn his music on and walk out. He goes to sleep on his own!! I went in to check on him before I went to bed like I always do and this is what I found. This was in December I think. He had gotten up and gotten this stuff and put it in his bed. Just precious!!! Oh, that boy melts my heart daily!! He has done stuff like this many times- Wanting to go to sleep with something or gotten up and gotten it and got back in bed with it and fallen asleep. One night I found his passy in his pajama pants. He loves to be covered up! He tucks the covers around him and underneath his waist and legs real tight and goes to sleep. He is a good, good sleeper!

This was a first and last! Jack was watching a movie in his room and I went in to check on him and found him asleep with the light on. I was such a stickler for schedules from the time the kids were born and all about a routine, that they pretty much will only sleep in their beds. Sometimes the car, but not for long and wake up the moment you get them out of the car. Never on my shoulder or just snuggling. Hardly ever in the stroller. You get the point.

This is Macy. She fell asleep in Jack's bed one evening, which never happens either.

I had posted about when we converted Jack's crib, but never posted pictures. This was him getting in it for the first time. I am all about keeping a child in their crib as long as you can, but he was climbing out and climbing in way too much, so it was time. Macy was in her crib, a different one, until she was 3 and never attempted to get out. Jack started climbing out by 2 1/2 and was officially out of the crib. He has always been good about staying in his bed and going to sleep on his own. The transition took less than a week. We had several nights of him getting up and bedtime taking much longer than usual, but after a week we were back on schedule! I didn't want to give him a big boy bed yet, because he would jump on it constantly and jump off of it. He went through a bad bed jumping phase, so to save me the worry we waited.
