Baseball season officially started Feb. 20th, but I've been getting ready since late August. If you didn't know I'm the coordinator for the Diamond Dolls for the U of A baseball team. This is a group of 24 college girls I chose through interviews to represent the school. They sell programs and scorecards at the gates and are the bat girls on the field. They also attend other baseball functions and help out whenever they're needed. I enjoy it, but it's tough with the kids. They have been to almost every game so far. They love it and have been great, thankfully. I have been to all, but one. We have 37 home games this year and the Diamond Dolls have to be there 2.5 hours before the game starts and we've had 4 10 inning games so far. Thank goodness I love the Hogs and baseball. The baseball mascots name is Ribby and Macy LOVES LOVES LOVES him. He is so great with her too! He gave her "five" one time and as we walked off she said, "he didn't give me skin". I told him, so now he never forgets. She wants to get on the dugouts with the RBI girls and dance or with the Diamond Dolls during the 7th inning stretch. One day Macy!!
